Rancho Olompali (1972)
MCL worked in conjunction with the Olompali People to have the
670-acre parcel off Highway 101 north of Novato declared a State
Historical Park. The site originally contained a major Miwok village
site.
MCL continues to work on preserving important natural features
of Marin. Projects have included the San Rafael Shoreline, Corte
Madera marshes, Bahia, Rush Creek in Novato, Bel Marin Keys and
other creeks, wetlands and ridges.
