Many thanks to all the volunteers who helped clean up our beaches and waterways at the 30th annual California Coastal Cleanup on Saturday, Sept. 20.

Volunteers at MCL's Novato site removed 270 pounds of trash and 30 pounds of recyclables from 1.75 miles of creek habitat. Unusual items found by Susan Stompe's crack team of volunteers were a satellite dish and a bowling ball.
As always, Marin County volunteers were invited to attend the FREE BBQ celebration at the Bay Model in Sausalito from noon - 3 pm immediately following the cleanup. Many thanks to the Bay Model and the Sausalito Lion's Club for hosting this gathering again.
